What it is

MBSR is an 8-week programme developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn at the University of Massachusetts. It is now one of the most studied mindfulness programmes in the world, used in hospitals, schools and companies.

Sitting meditation, body scan, mindful movement and everyday awareness.

An intensive day of silent practice to consolidate the journey.

At my premises or at your company.

People

Benefits for health and wellbeing

Less stress, better health

MBSR teaches people to recognise the signs of stress in body and mind and to respond rather than react. Studies show reductions in perceived stress, better sleep quality (around +20%) and lower intensity of chronic pain.

Protected mental health

A review of 47 clinical trials (JAMA Internal Medicine) found moderate improvements in anxiety, depression and pain. Regular practice supports the prevention of anxiety, depression and burnout.

Healthier relationships

More attention to the present moment means listening better, communicating more calmly and handling conflict with more compassion — towards oneself, others and the organisation.

Organisations

Benefits for organisations

According to the WHO, around 12 billion working days are lost every year to depression and anxiety, at a cost of nearly US$1 trillion. Including mindfulness in the employee development and health plan is an investment in prevention.

Focus and productivity

Teams with more sustained attention make better decisions, make fewer mistakes and regain useful time every day.

Preventing psychosocial risks

Mindfulness fits into a prevention plan aligned with NP 4552 and NP 4590, reducing stress-related absenteeism and presenteeism.

Leadership and culture

More present, calmer leaders create climates of psychological safety, engagement and talent retention.
